Meet Nikki

Licensed Massage Therapist • Body Mechanic

I absolutely LOVE what I do — working with bodies and helping people get relief from the things that are hindering their way of life.

We’ve got things to do and people to see.

More Than What I Do

I was once asked at a ladies retreat, “Who are you?” My answer was what I always said: a massage therapist. And while that is what I do, I realized that’s not necessarily who I am.

I am a child of God, a wife to David for almost 30 years, and a mother to two amazing young men who are forging their own paths in this life. I met my best friend and husband when I was 15, married him at 19, and here we are. Together we raised our boys, built a business, built a farm, and have shared a whole lot of life along the way.

I was born in South Florida but spent many years in Virginia, where we raised our family and built our farm. Recently, we sold the farm, our boys moved off to more fun states, and David and I realized retirement was getting closer.

So I took about three months off.

I was bored out of my mind in about a week.

I absolutely LOVE what I do. I love working with bodies and helping people find relief from the things that are hindering their way of life. So now I've returned to my South Florida roots and I'm beginning another chapter of Pathways To Wellness.

Sometimes Your Own Body Teaches You

I started Pathways To Wellness in 2007 after years of studying, but also after years of living in dis-ease and searching for answers as to why it felt like my body hated me.

I had gallbladder surgery at 18. At 20, I had surgery for endometriosis and was put into medicated menopause for several months. Eventually I realized that if I continued down this pathway, I wasn't going to have any body parts left.

My poor husband exclaimed that no man should have to deal with menopause twice in his lifetime.

Sorry, sweetheart. Now we know better.

Thankfully, I connected with an amazing chiropractor and later two others who helped put me on this pathway — one toward helping myself and another toward helping others.

We built our family. We married in 1997, welcomed our boys in 2001 and 2003, I started Pathways To Wellness in 2007, went to massage school in 2012, and we built our farm in 2018.

That's a whole different topic.

And now, in 2026, I'm building again — or adding to the business I already built, however you want to look at it — just in a new location.

I Am Your Body Mechanic

I absolutely love working with bodies and helping people get relief from things that are hindering their way of life.

I get it. We’ve got things to do and people to see.

This life is more than sitting at our jobs and working for all the “things.” We need passion. We need goals. And we need the ability to do the things we love.

When our bodies decide to revolt, we need a place to fix it.

That's why I call myself your body mechanic.

I don't know everything. Nobody ever will. But I have a deep sense of how the body works together. My training guides me, but I've also learned to listen with my hands. Sometimes my hands take me to places that need help that may not be the place you originally came in complaining about.

That's part of why my sessions don't always fit neatly into one category. I work with different forms of bodywork and use what your individual body needs.

A Gift I Prayed For; My Faith Is Part of Who I Am

My hands work from the training I've received, but I also believe they work from a gift that Jesus has given me.

A few of my clients have affectionately called my hands “little baby Jesus fingers.” I don't say that to pat myself on the back or to be disrespectful to God and what He can do to heal a body. I say it to acknowledge the gift I've been blessed with — the ability to help others through my hands.

I prayed for years for this gift. I believe God heard my prayer and answered it.

I'm not a “Bible thumper,” and you will not be inundated with my beliefs while you're in my office. But I do want to acknowledge where I believe my ability comes from.

I'm also not perfect. I am a forgiven sinner. I haven't lived an easy life, but I have lived one of grace, forgiveness, and hard work.

More Than Massage; Knowledge That Comes With Me

I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and a former Certified Natural Health Care Professional. I chose not to continue keeping up with the certification requirements, but the knowledge I gained is still there.

You won't see nutritional counseling or Bach flower remedies listed among my primary services. As my other services grew, those offerings took a back seat. But sometimes, through the course of other treatments, I may still give recommendations along those lines.

My work today brings together the different things I've learned over the years with one goal: figuring out what your individual body needs.

It's ALL About You; I Am an ALL About You Therapist

We will dig deep.

I'll explain a lot and help you understand the “whys.”

And if we can't figure something out, we'll research. We'll dig deeper. Or I'll refer you out.

I don't need to pretend to have every answer. What matters is helping you find the answer that's right for you.

And nothing is off limits. We talk about everything.

Yes, I see kids too. Typically, they're children of current clients, but I can take them independently as well. Babies and children have their own needs, and bodywork can be adapted to meet them where they are.

And when it comes to certain bathroom issues?

My sister-in-law says I'm the “poop whisperer.”

A New Chapter; Back to Doing What I Love

I haven't taken new clients in over four or five years because I was booked to capacity.

Now I'm incredibly excited to be doing it again.

This chapter of my semi-retired life means meeting new people, taking on new challenges, and hopefully creating a lifetime of new friendships.

If what I offer sounds like what you're looking for, you should reach out.

What are you waiting for?
